Birthday Party

This is a picture from my son's 9th birthday party. Needless to say he was being a little bit goofy. We had alot of fun, after cake and presents we took all of the kids to the skating rink. After not being on skates in many, many years, I thought I did great, that is until I fell on my butt and knocked the wind out of myself. My three yr old thought it was the funniest thing ever. The things we do to make our kids smile. Have a great day.

Recovering

Hello everyone, haven't "blogged" in a few days. But I'm back. Had my tonsils removed yesterday. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, not yet anyway, I haven't let the pain medication wear off yet. Talking kind of funny though. Got a big portrait order in yesterday, so I am busy putting orders together, if you ordered reprints last week, they are in and I will get them to you in a day or so. Just thought I would post some more of my favorites from my most recent sessions. Hopefully, I can get my kids to sit for me this weekend so I can try out my new backgrounds. I will post more after that.

More Rainy Days

Went thought some more pictures from last summer, came across this one. It is my absolute favorite picture. This was not posed! I was out there taking portraits of a family and took my girls and their friends along. Just happened to look up and there they stood, looking like one of those cell phone commercials. Anyway, thought I'd post this one for anyone out there not enjoying the rainy weather like me.

natural light

My website headline says that I specialize in natural light photography. The truth is that I haven't had much practice with indoor natural light. So I thought I'd get some today. This is what I've learned. I definitely needed more light and a tripod might help.

Missing Summer

I was just going through some of my pictures from last year and came across this one. It is one of my favorites! I cannot wait until this cold nasty weather is gone and we can go to the beach and spend the day. I love doing family sessions at the beach, too.

New Lights

Finally got to play with my new lights, haven't quite figured them out yet, but I'll get there eventually. I did get a couple of shots of my girls that I like. More to come later.

.org !!!!!

Well, as one friend just told me, I am now a .org!!!! My website officially has it's own domain. I'm so excited. It will be so much easier for people to find me online now. I also wanted to let everyone know how excited I am about the Christmas present I received from my husband. He gave me and entire studio lighting set! I couldn't believe it. I guess he thought I needed something to keep me busy over the next 7 months. He is deploying to Iraq at the end of this month. Hopefully this will be the last time. Anyway, until next time!!
